CIRCULAR THREAD ROLLS

MPTPL manufactures Circular Thread Rolls for Production and Precision Thread rolling of all types of fasteners and components. These dies are made by Thread Grinding process. MPT Circular Rolls are made of HCHCr D2 steel and HSS M2/M42 tool steel which is carefully heat treated at In-House heatreatment facility equipped with microprocessor based controllers and Radiation pyrometers, backed by metallurgical laboratory. Circular rolls are usually made in Two Piece sets and also offered in Three piece sets for Rolling of special components and hollow pipes etc. as per requirement. MPT Circular Rolls are manufactured for both types, In feed (Plunge feed) and Thru Feed.

Infeed Circular Rolls - In this rolling operation, machine spindles are set at zero degrees. The part does not feed through the dies. The length of thread rolled is limited by the maximum width of the dies. These dies are always helical.
Thru Feed – In this rolling operation Machine spindles are normally set to an angle other than zero. The workpiece feeds through the dies. The length of thread produced is unlimited.

MPT Circular rolls are made upto 300mm diameter and width upto 200mm for thread standards as below:

ACME and other rollable special forms can also be made as per specification.
Circular Rolls can be made for Left and Right Hand threads.
MPTPL also undertake Regrinding of worn out old rolls at very reasonable prices, leasing new life to old rolls.

INFORMATION REQUIRED FOR ORDERING MPT ROLLS
DIAMETER: Outer diameter of Rolls required as per rolling machine capacity. Exact diameter related to required diameter is calculated n In-feed type rolls.
WIDTH: Width of roll required.
BORE DIAMETER: Bore diameter is required along with tolerance, if needed.
KEY WAY: Width and depth of key way is required if keyway is not of running standard 12mm size.
TYPE OF FEED: Most Important to mention whether roll is required of THRU feed or IN FEED type.
THREADING: Diameter and Threading required along with Standard.
